Panjeeri is a traditional South Asian superfood known for its comforting warmth and nourishing ingredients. It is made by gently roasting nuts, seeds, and grains in pure ghee until they release their aroma, then blending them into a wholesome, crumbly mixture. Ingredients such as almonds, pistachios, cashews, edible gum, popped lotus seeds, and melon seeds are often used, with jaggery added for a naturally sweet, earthy flavour.

I grew up in Karachi, where Panjeeri was always linked with care, strength, and the comfort of home. Every South Asian family I met had its own recipe, but the heart of it was always the same. My grandmother taught us that real Panjeeri should be made only from pure nuts and seeds, roasted slowly to create nourishment that feels light and natural.
